Ben Franklin Softball League 2011

11-18-11:  There will be a league meeting on Tuesday Nov 22nd, 2011 at the Ben Franklin Auditorium at 6:30.  This meeting will be the final decision of the 2012 bat rule and explanations of all the 2012 rule changes by the ASA.  Any person who wants a voice in either of these topics must be represented or present at the meeting.

  
New Castle Pennsylvania has been very rich in Softball for the past 30 years.  It is home to one of the greatest Pennsylvania softball teams of all time, "The Iron Dukes".  The Iron Dukes won more than 180 straight games before a loss.  They were state champions in the Major Division 5 straight years and also the Mid America Champion in the Major Division.  

The Ben Franklin Softball League has been in existence for 44 years. The League has grown well over 30 teams and 4 divisions.  This year there are 36 teams spread out over 4 Divisions.
